Mohsen Omid, Mahmoud Omid khoda’s son, a martyr of imposed war after the Islamic revolution, under the pseudonym Omid has started painting since early childhood. Under the guidance of his father, he a painter learned the art. His father constantly backed and encouraged him. His burning passion for painting called the attention of his teachers to the point that, because they did not have an art teacher, he was appointed as the school art instructor and started to grade students Works. He studied science at high school and married after graduation.

Due to his passionate interest in painting, after a year of working in Finance Ministry Department, he quitted his job to continue his education and job in the field he liked the most, to say, painting.

In 1362 (1983) he got to know some distinguished and leading artists in Mashhad city and took part in their meetings. This group tried to comment on and criticize the works of contemporary painters.

In 1985 he entered Azad University of Tehran and put aside the trail and error method of the artists in Mashhad and attempted to learn the theories and philosophy of art with a clear prospect. The educational system of the university, due to lack of defensible educational doctrine, was severely criticized by him in a way that he delivered his dissertation in the third year to one of his masters, a Dr, on history of art ,and left the university to continue his researches outside it. Simultaneously he continued his practical and artistic services in Mashhad .He produced a multitude of works, accepting orders by his citizens. Moreover he devoted rapt attention to training pupils. He taught them in his institute and gallery. In 2000, he had a trip to the United Arab Emirates and began to correspond with its Educational and cultural groups.


 Besides he made detailed observation on the Cultural movements of the neighboring country. He hosts his major exhibition in the Educational Dept. of cultural center in Abu Dhabi. He was invited to hold this exhibition by Mr. ABDOLAH AL-AMRI, art critic, and commenced teaching there too. He had is second solo exhibition in one of the galleries in the Cultural center in 2001, in which the Iranian ambassador, Counselor, and embassy personals showed up.






The exhibition was favored by journalists. The Cultural Center bought a numbers of art works and exhibits them permanently in this center. French Cultural Counselor Mr,Jean-Pierre VILLELEGER and his wife attended this exhibition, too.

 His third exhibition in the Cultural center, in which cultural counselors from some of European Countries, Germany Italy and France, and America, and Canada Showed up, in Abu Dhabi was held by this Dept. In inauguration ceremony, Mr. KHALFAN and cultural counselor of Iran and Netherland, besides some of Abu Dhabi Cultural officials were present.



 It was favorably reviewed by Gulf news. In this exhibition there were some works by his daughters, Ensieh and Neda Omid, which called the attention, of Cultural society of Abu Dhabi. He was invited by Arab writers Association to host another exhibition which due to lack of time was not possible. Mr, VILLELEGER and KOVADRI’S, Argentina ambassador, and their ladies visited this exhibition, too. He was twice invited to French ambassador’s house by his wife who herself was a painter. One he was invited to Argentina Ambassador’s house, by Mr. KOVADRI’S wife, and in this party he was introduced to the ambassador who himself was an artist and photographer.


He held another exhibition in an Iranian school in Abu Dhabi which was received gladly By students and honored teachers and was reviewed by ALFAJR Newspaper. In the inauguration ceremony Mr. Mohammad AHMAR, cultural vice-president of Ministry of Education, the head of Iranian school, cultural counselor, Mr. HOSSEINI, and some of Iranian and Arab teachers were present.





In SALALEH, Oman by Mr.Tabatabei and MR ZAREI’S, SOROUSH representatives in Dubai, invitation another exhibition was held in Summer Festivals. Oman Cultural minister and Iran Culture counselor attended the exhibition.





 Next exhibition was held in KAMAL-Al-MOLK Gallery, Tehran.





Another on has hosted in Imam REZA Complex, MASHHAD in 82. In this exhibition high-rank military officials, Commander BIRANVAND, East Army commander, commander POUR DASTAN, army, and Commander Mohammad ZADEH, Air force Base in MASHHAD, and some other officials were present in the inauguration.





Also in the closing day the president of KHORASAN cultural center, Mr.Jafari and TOHFEHGAR, BONIAD SHAHID representative, Mr. Baharifar and a group of artists and cultural officials were present.



Next exhibition was held in KHALIDIA PALACE hotel in Abu Dhabi he went to one of military bases in U.A.E and invited the Commanders to the exhibition.



Next exhibition was held in the presence of Iran cultural counselor. In Qatar, and was reviewed by AL-SHARGH, AL-VATAN newspaper. This exhibition was hosted by the aid of two other Iranian painters. In the inauguration Syria ambassador, Libya ambassador, and Palestine cultural counselor, and Dr. VAEZI cultural counselor, a group of embassy personals, and Mr. Faraj daham, the national Museum manager took part.

The next exhibition was held in one school in MASHHAD, 7ph DESTRICT the reason of which was to discuss the interests on art lessons and revision of educational system in practice. Invitations form teachers and instructors were made, all from Ministry of education, to recognize the real status of drawing and painting and it’s relating with sciences. This exhibition was held by the aid of his two daughters, Encieh and Neda and the choice of the works was made to Further the educational ends.





 He had also some group exhibition with other artists. The war exhibition, in by the aid the contemporary museum in Tehran.

Exhibition of artists painters in Turkmenistan .and some more. The next exhibition will be held in MIRAK gallery, day 5th to 10th, 1383, under the title “NAGHSHE KHODA”. The works of NEDA and ENSIEH OMID is also going to be exhibited.
